This document describes the various options an organization has for receiving Secure Conversation message threads in Message notifications for their internal users. If an organization does not enable either of these options, they will receive the typical Secure message reply notification directing them to open the trusted share to view the latest message. At a high level the two options are:

These setting will only apply to internal users, external users will not receive Secure Message notifications with the message thread. They will need to access the trusted share to view the latest or previous secure messages.
Include Full Conversation in Secure Message Reply Notifications
For organizations using the Secure Conversation feature within Trusted Shares, there may be a desire from user’s to receive the latest message and the message thread in their email notification. To include the Messages in email notifications, an eShare admin must navigate to ‘Admin console’ > ‘Device Policy’ and enable the ‘Full secure conversation notification’. A ‘Max Limit’ size of the email notification can also be set, depending on the size the notification may not include the entire conversation thread.

After the setting is enabled, internal users will start receiving “New Reply” emails including the latest message and previous messages in the thread. To reply to the latest message, users will still need to select the ‘Open’ button and reply within the Trusted Share.

Enable Adaptive Cards in Secure Message Reply Notifications

Before enabling Adaptive Card notifications for Secure Conversations, ensure you complete the steps to register adaptive cards for your organization as outlined in the following article.
For organizations using the Secure Conversation feature within Trusted Shares, user’s may want to receive the latest message, the message thread included in the email notification, and the ability to reply directly in the Email message. To enable this functionality, an eShare admin must enable the ‘New reply with adaptive card notification’ option in Device policy in addtion to the ‘Full secure conversation notification’ option. This setting will provide similar features outlined previously for the full conversation, but with the additon of being able to reply in the email notification.

After the setting is enabled, internal users will start receiving “New Reply” emails including the latest message, previous messages in the thread, and an option to reply. To reply to the latest message, the user must click ‘Reply’, enter a the desired Reply message in the text field, then select ‘Send’. If the message is successfully posted, there will be a popup at the bottom of the message that says “The action completed successfully”.
