Supported File Types for File Viewing in Trusted Shares and Cloud Provider

This article lists the file types supported for viewing in Trusted Shares and Cloud Provider file viewing, and the MIME types e-Share uses to determine whether a file opens in Microsoft Office Online or the e-Share file viewer. The following topics will be reviewed:

Supported MIME Types and File Extensions

File types supported by Microsoft Office Online are opened for viewing in Office Online. Other supported file types are opened using the eShare file viewer.

Note:
Google file formats (Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Drawings) have no native file extension and are identified by their MIME type alone.
