This document describes the features, enhancements, and bug fixes included in eShare Release 178 (202602.1.0).
Enhancements
Updates to eSHARE Trusted Sharing for M365 App: In a prior release of the Cloud Web Portal, we provided controls over the generation of email notifications for messages, activities, and requests/actions. In Release 202602.1.0 we have updated the eSHARE Trusted Sharing for M365 App to include complementary features: Hyperlink to ABAC Deny Reasons — users denied file access due to ABAC policies now receive contextual hyperlinks explaining the specific reason for the denial; Unified Notification Feed — all notifications, Actions & Requests, and Messages are now consolidated into a single Activity section in the M365 App; Advanced Filtering & Search — users can now filter by notification type and state (e.g. unread, messages, activities) and search using keywords (e.g., Trusted Share and user name); Unread Notification Indicator — an unread notification count is displayed in the Activity section; Persistent Trusted Share Button — the Trusted Share action button remains visible when navigating the Activity section; Notification Management Wizard for New Users — users who have not created a Trusted Share will be presented with a notification settings wizard when first accessing the M365 App, allowing them to control notifications sent based on Activities, Actions & Requests, and Messages (these settings override organizational defaults).
Hyperlink to ABAC Deny Reasons in Cloud Web Portal, M365 Trusted Sharing App & Action Menu App: Users denied file access due to ABAC policies now receive contextual hyperlinks explaining the specific reason for the denial. This enhancement significantly improves user guidance, troubleshooting efficiency, and reduces access-related support requests.
Knowledge Base Widget Deployment to Cloud Web Portal: A knowledge base widget has been integrated into the Cloud Web Portal interface, enabling users to quickly find help articles, troubleshooting guides, and documentation directly from the eSHARE web interface. This improves user self-service and reduces IT support overhead.
Container Labels Now Detected When Sharing from Private Teams Channels: Our label detection logic was enhanced to fully support Private Teams channel libraries. Container labels are now accurately identified and applied to Trusted Sharing operations originating from Private Channels.
Bug Fixes
Files Failing to Open in Microsoft Office Online ("Item Not Found" Error): Resolved an issue where certain files failed to load in Microsoft Office Online due to an incorrect file resolution path, resulting in an "item not found" error.
