How to Disable a Sharing Policy

Prev Next

If you want to disable a sharing policy, click Actions for the desired sharing policy and select Disable.

Please note the following important considerations when disabling a sharing policy:

  • To disable a policy, it must not have any labels or tags assigned. If a label or tag is assigned, the policy cannot be disabled. In this case, transfer the label to a different policy to prevent changes to existing shares associated with that label.

  • Disabling a policy does not affect any existing shares created using that policy. Those shares remain active, and recipients will continue to have access.

  • Once a policy is disabled, it will no longer appear as an option in the dropdown when users attempt to create a trusted share.
