This document describes the enhancements and bug fixes included in the eShare Cloud Web Portal release 202607.0.0. The following sections will be reviewed:
Enhancements
Update the File Reference on a Trusted Share Mountpoint
A new API endpoint allows developers to update the item_id for a mountpoint when the underlying file is moved or replaced. Previously, if an automation flow overwrote a file at the same path, the file's item ID changed and the Trusted Share broke. Owners can now repoint the mountpoint to the correct item, keeping automated file-move workflows intact without interrupting recipient access.
Show Recipients a Specific ABAC Access-Denied Reason
Sharing Policies can now be configured to display an actionable, formatted explanation to recipients when access is denied by ABAC, replacing the generic "no access" message. Messages support limited formatting (bold, line breaks, and links) so administrators can communicate clearly while keeping the message secure. This reduces end-user confusion and lowers support volume.
Enforce SAML Group Attributes for OneDrive External Sharing
External sharing from OneDrive now respects an organization's configured SAML group attributes. Only users in the designated group can share externally from OneDrive; all other users see a clear, organization-specific message explaining that external sharing from OneDrive isn't approved for their account. This closes a gap where external-sharing restrictions weren't consistently applied across SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
Consistent Auto-Approval for Forwarded Share Invitations
Invited recipient auto-approval now applies when a Trusted Share notification is forwarded to another recipient within the same email domain as the original inviter. Previously, auto-approval only applied to recipients added directly through Manage Recipients, so forwarded recipients in the same domain were not approved, creating an inconsistent recipient experience. Both invitation paths now behave the same way.
Clearer Messaging When Sharing Is Restricted in the M365 Trusted Sharing App
Users who attempt to share externally but are blocked by policy now receive clearer messaging in the Microsoft 365 Trusted Sharing App. Users without a Trusted Sharing request option see an explanation that external sharing is disabled by organizational settings, while users who can request Trusted Sharing access now see a button, or an admin-provided URL, to initiate that request directly from the message.
Customizable Ordering of Attributes in Data Attributes Add-in for Microsoft Office
Organizations can now configure the display order of data attributes shown to users, allowing specific attributes to appear earlier in the list. This gives organizations greater control over the document marking and labeling experience.
More Reliable File Uploads in the Cloud Web Portal
Upload resiliency has been improved in the Cloud Web Portal. Chunk uploads are now wrapped in a race-timeout, so a silently dropped connection triggers the existing retry logic instead of leaving the upload stuck with no feedback. Chunk sizes have also been reduced to avoid exceeding timeout thresholds on larger files.
Bugs
Fixed Duplicate User Entries Across Related Domains
Resolved an issue where a customer had duplicate user entries created under two related company domains, which could cause confusion when selecting the correct recipient.
Fixed Inability to Enable Edit Permission with Override Enabled
Resolved an issue where, in organizations that disabled editing by default but allowed user override, users could enable View permission but not Edit. Edit can now be enabled correctly in that configuration.
Fixed Missing Upload Button for External Partners on SharePoint-Based Shares
Resolved an issue where the Upload button was not visible to external partner recipients on Share With Me Link shares created from a SharePoint site, preventing them from contributing files as expected.
Fixed One-Time Passcodes Not Being Recognized on Apple Devices
One-time passcode messages are now formatted to match the convention iOS and macOS require to recognize a one-time code, allowing the operating system to automatically prompt users to autofill it.
Fixed "Server Error Occurred" When Downloading Multiple Files
Resolved an issue where downloading multiple files or folders from a Trusted Share would start successfully but fail partway through with a generic server error.
Fixed Login Terms-of-Use Not Being Enforced
Resolved an issue where, even with Login ToU set to "always," users were no longer prompted to accept the organization's Terms of Use when logging into the Cloud Web Portal.
Fixed Domain Suppression List Failing to Save When Enabled
Resolved an issue in the Cloud Web Portal where enabling the domain suppression list would not persist, the setting reverted to disabled after a page refresh.
Fixed M365 Trusted Sharing App Showing the Hub Site Library Instead of the Subsite Library
Resolved an issue where, when the M365 Trusted Sharing App was added to a SharePoint subsite within a Hub site, users sharing from that subsite were shown the parent Hub site's document library instead of the subsite's own library.
Fixed Multi-File Download Failing When Approval Is Required for Some Files
Resolved an issue where downloading multiple files from a Trusted Share would fail outright if any selected file required download approval. A warning modal now informs the recipient how many files require owner approval before proceeding, rather than failing the entire download.
Fixed Bulk Share Ownership Transfer Getting Stuck in Pending
Resolved an issue where transferring ownership of a large batch of Trusted Shares (e.g., employee offboarding) would process only the first item before the background job crashed, leaving the remaining shares stuck in a Pending state.
Fixed DLP Rules Not Syncing from Microsoft Purview
Resolved a configuration issue with the DLP endpoint prefix that prevented a customer's data-loss-prevention (DLP) rules from syncing from their Microsoft 365/Purview tenant to eSHARE.
Fixed Silent Overwrite When Editing Allow/Block Lists Under an Active Search Filter
Resolved an issue in the CWP Admin Console where editing an Allow/Block list while a search filter was active and adding a new entry would silently overwrite the list, discarding entries not visible under the current filter.
