This document describes the features, enhancements, and bug fixes included in eShare Release 175 (2025.11.0).
NOTE:
With this release, eShare begins using a date-based revision numbering system instead of a sequential release number. This release would have been named Release 175 under the old system.
Enhancements
OneDrive Label Integration for Policy Enforcement: Organizations can now assign and manage sensitivity labels on OneDrive and leverage these labels within eShare for dynamic policy enforcement. Label Assignment can be done via PowerShell — admins can run PowerShell scripts to assign labels to individual OneDrive accounts (please contact your Customer Success Manager to obtain script examples and guidance). Label Consumption in eShare — eShare evaluates OneDrive labels when Trusted Shares are created from OneDrive and when content in these shares is accessed; as with SharePoint, these labels, when present, determine the sharing policy applied to newly created shares and the sharing policy used when files are accessed. Label Assignment to Sharing Policies — labels are assigned to sharing policies as before; with OneDrive labeling now possible, some organizations may want to create a new sharing policy assigned only to the Personal Cloud Storage module and map it to the label assigned to OneDrive via the PowerShell script. Note that there are no additional settings for OneDrive label support; when the label is present on a user's OneDrive, it is used by sharing policies.
Enhanced OTP Functionality: New Expiration Time Configuration — organizations can now define OTP expiration time in the Device Policy section of the Admin Console (the default is 5 minutes); Flexible Method Switching — users can now select "Try another method" after requesting an OTP to generate a new code via a different Delivery Method; Expiration Handling — when an OTP expires, users are prompted to either resend the code or choose a different delivery method.
Enhanced Mail Trace Report: The Power BI based Mail Trace Report for administrators who oversee the eShare Secure Mail Gateway has been enhanced. A dedicated subject field has been added to improve report clarity. The report now also leverages the classification reason to filter out internal recipients in forwarded emails, ensuring accurate reporting. These report enhancements are only available in conjunction with SMG Release 2025.10.30 or later.
Bug Fixes
Inconsistencies among eShare Collaborate Reports: Resolved discrepancies to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across all Collaborate reports.
Inaccuracy of Acting User for Recipient Invitations: Fixed audit event issue where owners were incorrectly attributed with inviting/approving new recipients.
Secure Mail Gateway Shared Mailbox Trusted Share Ownership: Fixed issue where Trusted Share was not correctly adding owners for SMG shared mailboxes.
Trusted Share Creation Modal Update Regarding Blocked Recipients: When recipients were indicated as being blocked when creating a share, a "Remove" button was displayed next to the recipient email. This has been changed to "Details" with the button producing a pop-up providing the reason for the recipient block.
Notification Categorization Change: "Deleted File" notifications are now properly managed under the Activities category for improved organization.
Secure Conversations Signature Auto-Population: Implemented auto-population of values in the Secure Conversations signature feature to streamline user experience.
Session Handling After OTP Timeout: Fixed issue where recipients were logged out from eShare sessions following OTP timeout; improved handling to maintain session integrity.
