Share With Me Link for Blob Cloud Provider

Enabling Share With Me Link for Azure Storage Account

If the ’Share With Me link’ functionality is needed for the Blob, it can be enabled by going to ’Azure Blob Settings’ > ’Select the Blob Storage account’ and select ’Enable SWM’.

Ensure you have created a container within the Azure Blob Storage Account called ’sharewithme’ (it must have this exact name).

Once enabled, users should see a link icon beside the blob account, under the cloud providers dropdown. Click on the link to copy and share the link with the intended recipients you want to receive the files from.

Share-With-Me link URL will be https://<your_eshare_url>/bme/<emailofthesecuritygroup>

Example: https://secure.aerospacerocks.com/bme/<blobaccount@aerospacerocks.com>

End user or external users would see the below page when they open the link.

Important Note: Whenever a share is created using sharewithme link for blob, all the members under that security group will be added as a recipients to the share. The share owner and other members would see the share under Shared with Me page instead of My shares page.
