Allow or Block Domains from Trusted Shares

You can allow or block specific domains from being added to Trusted Shares based on your security and compliance requirements. When a domain is blocked, recipients from that domain cannot be added to any Trusted Share.

After creating a domain list here, you can associate it with either a Device Policy or a Sharing Policy .

Important Note:

A Device Policy applies across your entire organization, while a Sharing Policy applies only to Trusted Shares created using that policy.

Settings hierarchy: Device Policy → Sharing Policy → Trusted Share Options.

To configure this setting: Admin Console → Allow/Block Lists → Click the '+ New List' button located at the top of the list management section.

Fill out the Fields

Enter the name of the list, including a keyword. The Keyword will be used to assign the list to a Policy later and should always be in format.

Specify domains or emails by clicking on the 'Domains/emails' input field to enter the relevant domains, seperated by a comma. You can also upload a predefined list via CSV that will automatically populate the Domains/emails field.

Click the 'Save' button.

Match Subdomains : When this option is selected, the chosen action ( Allow or Block ) is also apply to all subdomains of the specified domain. For example, if you specify outlook.com , email addresses from mail.outlook.com will also be allowed or blocked accordingly.

Once you enter the desired domains, you can click Save.

Note: If you are an eShare customer, we provide a CSV file containing approximately 16,000 consumer domains that you can use for blocking. If you do not have this file already, please raise a support ticket and we will provide it to you.

Confirmation

Verify that the new list has been successfully created by checking for a confirmation message.

Once you create a list, you can assign it to either a Sharing Policy or a Device Policy . Assigning it to a Device Policy applies the list across your entire organization, while assigning it to a Sharing Policy applies it only to Trusted Shares created using that policy.
