Managing Email Notification Preferences

When Accessing the eShare M365 App through Teams, SharePoint, or Outlook, users will have the opportunity to manage their own Email Notification Preferences. On the top left corner of the Home Dashboard a user will find 2 buttons: an ‘Activity’ button a Settings Gear button for ‘Email Notifcation Preferences’.

Note: User’s can only manage personal Email Notification Preferences using the eShare M365 App. You are unable to manage them via the eShare Cloud Web Portal.

‘Activity’ Menu

This view provides a list of all notifications a user has received across the all the Trusted Shares they have access to. A user can select a Notification to view, Acknowledge them by marking them as ‘Read’, or ‘Delete’ them from the feed.

‘Email Notification Preferences’ Menu

The Email Notification Preferences menu allows user’s to set their personal notification preferences for all trusted shares they have access to. An organization administrator sets the default notification preferences for all users, any settings chosen in this menu by a user will override the organization defaults.

There are 3 different Notification types to set preferences for:

  1. Activities - Notifications on Trusted Shares’ activities, such as uploading, downloading, accessing a Trusted Share, and more.

  2. Requests & Actions - Notifications requiring action from Trusted Share owners/co-owners.

  3. Messages - New messages and replies from Secure Conversations within your Trusted Shares.
